The BGS & BCC Genealogy Collections are located in the Central Brevard Library & Reference Center, 308 Forrest Avenue, Cocoa, Florida.

 

The Brevard Community College Library Genealogy Department collection has been transferred to the Central Brevard Library and Reference Center. The books and CD's are shelved with the BGS collection. The collections are together in the NEW! Genealogy Area on the Second Floor of the Library.

 

Genealogist, Michael Boostra, formerly with Brevard Community College, has joined the Brevard County Library Staff.

 

The BCC Collection is included in the Brevard County Library Catalog and is available for Inter Library Loan within Brevard County.

 

Society books are only available for use at the library. Our CD collection is available when a volunteer is present. The volunteer schedule varies and is posted in the Genealogy Room. If you are planning a visit to this area, it may be possible to coordinate hours if you contact the BGS Librarian in advance.

 

Brevard County Census Records are available in the Library and you can also access the actual images of ALL Brevard census records online. These were donated to Brevard GenWeb by the Brevard Genealogical Society and (images by S-K Publications).

 

The East Central Florida Genealogical Societies Co-op compiled a database of all Family History books located in the seven county area, including Brevard County and the Alma Clyde Field Library.  The Co-op has been disolved, but you can still access the database on their website.
